Board of Directors

Hitan Kamdar

Vice President, Board of Advisors, TEACH

Hitan Kamdar serves on the TEACH Board of Directors as Vice President of the Board of Advisors, where he supports the organization across key areas including operations, finance, and member onboarding. In this role, he helps strengthen internal processes and ensure the organization continues to grow with a strong operational foundation.

Hitan is an Administrative Director for the Department of Radiology at Michigan Medicine, where he has served since 2019. Prior to this role, he held leadership positions in patient access and experience at both Michigan Medicine and the Mayo Clinic. His professional background reflects a deep commitment to improving healthcare systems and enhancing the patient and family experience.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, a Master of Science in Operations Management, and a Master of Business Administration from Kettering University. In addition to his work in healthcare leadership, Hitan is a lifelong innovator and holds 19 U.S. patents for the development of new products and services.

Hitan has been actively involved in nonprofit and community work throughout his life, beginning with volunteer efforts at the YMCA and continuing through service on multiple boards. At TEACH, he is especially passionate about supporting children and their families and contributing to an organization that brings comfort, learning, and joy to pediatric patients.


Flora Tan

Board Chair, TEACH

Flora Tan serves on the TEACH Board of Directors as Board Chair, where she helps guide the organization’s strategic direction and supports its mission to bring hands-on STEM learning to children in hospitals.

Flora holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and works as a Software Engineer at Google in New York City. In addition to her professional work, she is deeply committed to mentorship and education, having volunteered with Google’s Mentorship and Development Program, served as a judge for the FIRST Robotics Competition, and supported prospective students as an Educational Counselor for MIT.

She is passionate about contributing to mission-driven initiatives that create meaningful, real- world impact—particularly in healthcare. Through her work with TEACH, Flora is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for hospitalized children by making STEM education accessible, engaging, and inspiring.

Outside of her professional and volunteer work, Flora enjoys practicing pilates and yoga, attending live music events, and exploring new restaurants and coffee shops throughout New York City.


Kimberly Cramer

Director of Marketing, Communications Community Development, TEACH

Kimberly Cramer serves on the TEACH Board of Directors as Director of Marketing, Communications & Community Development. In this role, she leads the organization’s marketing strategy, oversees communications, and drives community engagement initiatives to expand TEACH’s reach and impact.

With over 15 years of experience in marketing and communications, Kimberly specializes in brand strategy, digital storytelling, and audience engagement—particularly within the healthcare and nonprofit sectors. She has led cross-functional initiatives, developed data-driven campaigns, and built meaningful connections between organizations and the communities they serve.

Kimberly holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of Missouri–Columbia. She is also an Ambassador of Excellence for MyHealthTeam’s My Crohn’s & Colitis Team, where she advocates for patients and fosters community through shared experiences and support.

Her connection to TEACH’s mission is deeply personal. As a Crohn’s disease survivor who has faced significant medical challenges, including extended hospital stays, Kimberly brings a unique perspective and heartfelt commitment to supporting children in similar environments. She is passionate about creating moments of curiosity, creativity, and joy for hospitalized children, and about using storytelling to amplify the impact of TEACH’s work.


Tania Bogart

Director of Education, TEACH

Tania Bogart serves on the TEACH Board of Directors as Director of Education, where she plays a vital role in shaping and advancing the organization’s educational programming. She brings her experience as an elementary school teacher, along with a master’s degree in education, to ensure TEACH’s STEM initiatives are both engaging and developmentally meaningful for children in hospital settings.

As a military spouse and mother of three, Tania values resilience, adaptability, and the importance of strong community connections—principles that guide both her personal and professional life.

Tania’s commitment to TEACH’s mission is deeply personal. As a brain tumor and cancer survivor currently undergoing treatment, she brings a unique and compassionate perspective to her work, with a strong focus on supporting pediatric patients through accessible, enriching educational experiences during hospitalization.

She is especially passionate about creating opportunities that not only benefit the children TEACH serves, but also empower medical students and college volunteers to gain hands-on, human-centered clinical experience through meaningful service.
